Drawings are available in a variety of formats, most of which are only viewable on CAD drawing programs. These include
DFX (Autocad)
DWF (Autodesk)
DWG (AutoCad and others)
VWX (VectorWorks)
If you do not have a compatible program, you will not be able to view these files.
There are also 2 formats that are available on most computers, PDF (portable document format)and GIF (Graphics Interchange Format), usable in most drawing programs. If you do not have a CAD program, try on e of these:
GIF
The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is a bitmap (as distinguished from Vector) image format. It is in widespread usage on the internet due to its wide support and portability between applications and operating systems.
PDF
Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format developed by Adobe to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of hardware, software and operating systems.
