Bollards (also known as parking posts) made of steel pipe protect your property from damage by vehicles.  Our stock bollards are constructed of very strong Schedule 40 steel pipe in 4", 6" and 8" I.D.  They are also available by special order in 3" and 10" I. D. Schedule 80 steel, which is much thicker, is also available. 

Plate bollards are attached to the floor surface.  The bollard is welded to a plate (5/16"x 8"x 8" for 4" and 6"; 10"x 10" for 8") with four holes for 3/4" bolts.  A plate bollard is shown next to an optional OSHA Yellow post sleeve. Note the 2 rings of tape on the bollard. The tape secures the plastic post cover. 

Core bollards are steel pipes buried in the ground, generally in concrete.  Core bollards are stronger than plate. They should exend below the frost line. Consult your local building code for depth requirements.

Bollards can be ordered plain, primed or galvanized (at least 50% higher than plain). The top is open but can be ordered with a welded flat or dome top at additional cost.

We highly recommend that you also order bollard sleeves / covers.  With a sleeve, the bollard is maintenance free. No painting is ever required. The covers come in a variety of colors and can even be lighted. See Sleeves for details.

Steel pipe increases in wall thickness as diameter increases. Schedule 40 is .237" thick at 4" diameter; Schedule 80 is .337".

4, 6" and 8" inside diameter are stock. 3" and 10" are available.

All quotes include freight. Shipping is by truck, normally sent 7-10 days from the order date. You are responsible for unloading. If you need a truck with a lift gate, please tell us when ordering.
